The charter of the communities of L’Arche on our core practices state that we mark and celebrate the events and cycles of life. Celebrating birthdays is a special opportunity for us as a community to honor and recognize the uniqueness of each individual while fostering a sense of belonging, joy and solidarity within the community. In October we celebrated our beloved members’ birthdays, Trymore, Joshua, Elizabeth, Maud and Priscilla. It is always a moving experience for us when we put a smile on each other’s faces.
